Social entrepreneurship business idea workshop
Practical tips for key competences of social entrepreneurs
1 Do your best to establish clear objectives. Clearly outline the goals and expectations of the
workshop to ensure learners understand the purpose and desired outcomes.
Provide learners with loud and clear guidance, it should not be in the form of dictation. Offer
2 guidance and support to learners throughout the brainstorming and idea refinement process,
however, avoid imposing your own ideas or solutions.
As a trainer/facilitator, encourage active participation as much as possible. Actively engage all
learners in the workshop activities by creating opportunities for collaboration, discussion and
3 idea sharing. Motivate your learners to utilise digital tools to enhance their learning experience.
Some potential options include Jamboard, Ideaflip, Stormboard, Mind Mapping Software, Prezi
and Mentimeter.
Foster a positive learning environment among learners. Create a supportive and inclusive
4 atmosphere where they feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and opinions without fear of
judgement. Be kind and welcome the mistakes.
Encourage learners to reflect on their experiences during the workshop and discuss the
5 challenges, insights and lessons learned. Use these discussions to reinforce key concepts and
promote deeper understanding.
