Prototyping and testing: Validate Your Idea through the Javelin Board
Practical tips for social business prototyping and testing techniques
In this activity, the learners should be guided to clearly state the experiment's purpose and goals.
1 Using SMART criteria for objectives, trainers/facilitators should help them to discuss and refine
scope collaboratively to address potential challenges.
2 Facilitate to create a stakeholder map. Hold pre-meetings with key stakeholders for input. Clearly
remind the learners to diversificate roles and the importance of each contribution.
3 Use mind mapping or affinity diagrams. Encourage building of ideas. Set a time limit to maintain
focus and energy.
4 Use collaborative tools for real-time organisation. Help learners to break down the plan, assign
tasks based on strengths, and to bear in mind to incorporate stakeholder feedback.
5 Remember to establish a centralised communication hub. Use consistent formats for
documentation. Schedule regular check-ins for ongoing communication and updates.
